I needed a bag that was big enough to carry all of my supplies (I'm a current graduate student) for school in addition to the usual necessities any woman carries in her purse. I found this bag, did some measuring, and decided it was pretty near perfect. Ordered it in the dark brown and it came in, perfect timing, a few days later. I love the material, it's soft and the color matches what's shown online, it has a hard bottom which makes it not too hard to organize things. I like the little pockets inside for my cell phone and the zipper pockets on the outside are perfect for pens, pencils, or whatever you want to put in there. Really, this is a great bag. The only drawback that I can see is that the zippers feel just a tad bit flimsy, like it wouldn't be too hard to break them. This just means I have to be a little bit careful with what I put in there...but the best part is, all of my school work fits in there no problem! Pretty darn good product. I purchased this bag after reading so many positive reviews, so it was disappointing to have to immediately return it.
The bag is large and roomy as described, and the faux leather seemed of good quality. The red is a nice rich color.
Unfortunately the pictures make this look like more of a traditional, free-standing tote bag, which it is not - I think it is the stuffing they used to plump it up for the pictures that gave it this appearance.
The bag is actually more of a triangular shape than square, making it somewhat difficult to get items through the opening. It looks more like a vintage bowling bag than a tote.
It also can not hold up it's own weight (a key quality I was looking for) - it does have a nice flat bottom with feet, but because the material is so soft, it simply flops over when placed on the floor.
The two outer pockets are decorative, but not very useful as anything placed in them would create an odd looking bulge...Read more
